Michael Adam Saben

Claremont— Michael Adam Saben Sr. 45 of Claremont died suddenly on Wednesday July 18, 2012 at his home in Claremont. He was born in Lebanon on November 23, 1966 the son of Rockie and Jeanne (Lawn) Saben. He grew up in West Canaan and attended Mascoma Valley Regional High School. He had been employed by Lincare of Brattleboro, VT for many years, traveling throughout New England where he made many friends. For the past seven years he has been employed by Keene Medical Products in Lebanon as a customer service representative and in merchandising at Coca-Cola in Claremont. He had also worked as a cook and served meals at Singing Hills in Plainfield.

He was married to Jean LaFlam on June 25, 1988 and they made their home in the Upper Valley. He loved sports, especially auto racing and was an Indianapolis Colts, Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins, and Calgary Flames fan.

He is survived by his father and step mother Rockie and Bonnie Saban of Marco Island, FL, his mother Jeanne Saban of Manassas, VA, his wife Jean of Claremont, his children Michael Adam Saben Jr, Megan Elizabeth Saban, and Sarah Grace Saban all of Claremont, sister Mary Saban of Atlanta, GA, brothers Mark of Wilder and Matthew of South Carolina, father and mother in law Leonard and June LaFlam of West Lebanon, brother and sister in law Leonard and Alicia LaFlam of Punta Gorda, FL, sister in law Lisa LaFlam of Orange, NH, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his family he was loved and will be missed by the many friends he made throughout his life.

Michael donated part of his liver to his daughter Sarah when she was an infant and his family would like to encourage people to become organ donors, sharing the gift of life with others.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday July 24, 2012 at 1:00PM at the Etna Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Enfield. There will be no calling hours. Michaels family requests people dress in sports team attire for his service. It is the intention of the family to set up a memorial fund to help Michael’s children with future educational expenses.
