Enfield, NH – James A. Reagan, 95, died at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon on Friday, July 13, 2012.
He was born on November 16, 1916 in East Boston, MA to the late Andrew & Ida (Metz) Reagan. Jim grew up in Boston and served in the US Navy during WWII. Following his discharge from the Navy he settled in Enfield, NH and worked for the Inn Garage in Hanover, NH. He then owned and operated Jim Reagans Garage in Enfield, NH. Jim retired from the Maintenance Department at Dartmouth College after twenty five years of service. He enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting and fishing. He was also a member of the Elks and Lion’s Club. Jim’s first wife Ruth (Write) Reagan died at a young age, his second wife Catherine (Dicassio) Reagan predeceased him as well as his third wife Genii Loupis Reagan, he was also predeceased by a brother John Reagan.
Jim is survived by his son Paul Reagan of Redondo, CA and a daughter Barbara Butman of Canaan, NH, a brother Andrew Reagan of Florida and a sister Helen Haddow of Winthrop, MA, three grandsons Jim, Fred and Paul, two great grandchildren John and Shania, several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Helena’s Church in Enfield on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 11AM with burial to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Enfield, NH.
